‘Do not judge. And you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
I forgive someone who is mean to me. I ask God to heal my pain, and it works wonders. Through my researching I have learned that people are stressed out about something sometimes taking their pain through somebody else, and they are not even aware of it. Self-awareness is important in our relationships. It allows us to correct our expectations, mistakes, wrong thinking, and many more. Self-awareness helps us grow spiritually and improve our health and relationships. Forgiveness has led me to better relationships with others. I have more understanding of people’s frustration and disappointments. I am thankful I could relate with them and care for them. I can feel their pain. Since I have become interested in lifting people’s spirits, I lift up myself, too. Some of you would probably understand what I am talking about. For now, I believe forgiveness is good for our mental, physical, and emotional health.
Dr. Tyler Vander Weele Co-author of initiative on Health Religion and Spirituality at Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health said, “Forgiving is not easy. Thinking about negative things and bad experiences will make us angry, and we will be trapped with hatred and anger issues that are bad for our health. When we learn to forgive, we are free of the past, and we will no longer be trapped with hatred and anger issues.”
