You can take care of your anti aging process through healthy living. When you take good care of your body, you will look good inside and out. This is more beneficial than advertised beauty products. Although I believe beauty products are helpful. I use some beauty products myself, and it has been helpful for me.

Healthy Living has shown to improve younger looking and feel younger to your best year to come. Your body will thank you for going through the healthy living process of aging.

As we age, our hormone level drops, and our skin gets drier. Our health gets weaker and older, if we don’t take care of ourselves. It is our responsibility to stay healthy. Part 1 will talk about the basic ways to keep ourselves youthful, energetic, and lively, so we can enjoy our later years.

#1 . HYDRATE- At 72, I don’t get thirsty like I am suppose to. As we get older it is harder and harder to drink enough water. Not that long ago, I know I was dehydrated. I started finding ways to stay hydrate. In the morning I started drinking warm water before I start my routine. Increasing fluid intake may help dehydration. Preferably warm water. It is hard to drink 8 glasses of water for me. I know that a well-hydrated body is the key to glowing skin. Here are some ways to increase drinking fluids

a. Green tea- Green tea is not just a hydrating beverage. It is rich in polyphenols, which are all natural compounds to reduce inflammation and fight cancer. It also contains catechin (EGCG) epigalllocathechun-3gallate, a natural antioxidants that prevent damaged cells. EGCG is one of the most compound that give its medicinal properties. It also protects your brain as you age.

c. Coconut water- Natural coconut water is low in carbs and calories. It is a delicious electrolyte-filled, natural beverage that will keep you hydrate and refreshed. It can be consumed directly from green coconuts or in a bottle. Make sure it it is 100% coconut water. Avoid added sugar or sweetener.

d. Sparkling water- Carbonated water is calorie free beverage that cause pleasurable bubbly sensation. It may help you improve your overall health.

e. Milk- May 2020 study in nutrient found milk containing beverages superior to water in their abilities to sustain fluid after ingestion. It has higher effect on bodily hydration than water. It has the essential minerals, sodium, and potassium, the electrolytes we need to replace what we sweat.

#2. GET ENOUGH SLEEP – Your body needs to recuperate from a long hours of activities . A good night rest is necessary for a healthy body. You will feel young and refreshed when you have a good night rest. I am guilty of this. I tried my very best to get an eight hour sleep and it is not happening. I must get at least 6-7 hours. When I get fewer than 6 hours I can tell the difference in my personal appearance, that is probably why it is called beauty sleep. I have friends who asked me about eye bag. In my experience I get eye bags when I don’t get enough sleep. Staying hydrate also helps. Lack of sleep can also stress you out. That will just ruin everything. I am sure we are all been there, done that.

.#3. EXERCISE Walking is beneficial for any age. Find something you enjoy, so you’ll keep doing it. Some people don’t like to exercise, but they’ll play pickleball with their friends. Some likes dancing, do anything that will keep you moving. Exercise will improve thinking, judgement skills and your mood as you age. It will keep our muscles bones, body, and joints healthy.

#4. STRESS– We can not avoid stress. A little stress is good for us. It makes us work harder or better. It is when stress become unbearable that we become ill and frustrated. Some people turn to substances, which is very bad for our health. The way we respond to stress affects our well-being. Getting a good night sleep, keeping hydrate, eating healthy, exercise, deep breathing, praying and meditation are some of the ways to cope with stress. Take care of yourself first. You are in a better position to help others if you are healthy. Give yourself a break if you feel stressed.

#5. Eat Healthy

a. Avoid sugary salty, deep fried foods, processed food, and bad oils (soy bean oil, corn oil, hydrogenated oil, sunflower oil, cottonseed oil. Eat natural food, whole food, and nutritious food. Good oil are olive oil, MCT oil, Omega 3 fatty acid, almond oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil.

b.. When we eat junk food it affects our well-being, and our health pays for it. We are what we eat. You are cranky and sick because of your bad eating habits, attitude, and lifestyle. It is not your loved ones, your neighbors, your friends, or your co-worker’s fault. It is you. Besides, you are not only hurting the people who loves you, but your heart is hurting too. Your heart said, “You are stubborn, I quit.” The human body can not handle too many chemicals found in junk food. There are more illnesses and deaths now, that are related to junk food. than it was fifty years ago. An August study people in Italy consuming large quantities of ultra-processed food had a higher risk of deaths. Previous studies linked ultra-processed food to other negative health outcomes, risks of diabetes, cognitive decline, heart disease and cancer- https://www.nbcnews.com>health

#6, Be thankful. Be grateful. Some people didn’t wake up today. But we did. Let’s be thankful for life. 🙏 What is good having money in the bank if you walk around mad at everybody. When you die somebody else is going to spend your money. Be kind and be loving to others. Learn how to love yourself and others. Appreciate your blessings. Everything is a blessing.

I am thankful and grateful for my family and friends. Looking forward to spend some time with some of them. I am definitely thankful of learning something new everyday. Everyday is a gift. Let’s cherish and rejoice in it. May the blessings of today bring you peace and joy.

I’ll see you in Anti-Aging Part 2, for more tips on young living and young at heart .
